It feels impossible to juggle career and family. You rush home trying to shift to take care of the kids. You feel so much pressure to do things the way you did with each of them, and feel guilt that you can't offer everything to every one of your kids. Fussiness, meltdowns, it's a lot to handle and sometimes it feels like your partner doesn't even know the routine or how to take care of things. 

Lately things feel tense between the two of you. You don't recognize your relationship and you can't even let yourself think about how different things are and how much you've lost as a couple. It's all way too sad.

The exhaustion is crushing you. You’re tense yet dragging, on the verge of tears all day.

You can't keep doing this. How is everyone else handling things so much better? Do they second guess their every decision like you? 

You feel like you're supposed to be liking this whole motherhood thing more. 

Everyone says these are the days you’ll miss but you feel like you're counting down the minutes until bedtime. 

When you lose your shit, sometimes you feel so bad about it that you actually wished you didn’t exist anymore. Maybe this sends you into a cleaning frenzy or to numb out on wine instead. You just keep thinking if you try harder, you'll do better and be better. 

My name is Anna, I am somatic practitioner and trauma therapist who specializes in supporting moms in Baltimore

I support self-reliant women in the throes of motherhood, marriage and career to recover their sense of self, to break the cycle of suffering and to rediscover the joy in motherhood that is possible for you.

In our work together, my hope is that you will feel understood, hopeful and taken care of - giving to yourself what you give so often to others. I deeply value the self-reliance and resourcefulness of what has gotten you this far.

It’s not that you can’t do this on your own - it's that you don’t have to anymore. 

I hear that part of you screaming - “I don’t have time for this!” 

I respect the need to feel better or “okay” as quickly as possible. Therapy should be effective, results oriented and an investment in you. And in the words of Brene Brown: “We cannot give our children what we don’t have.”

I weave in psychoeducation to deepen understanding about yourself and use somatic practices to support building coping skills and uncovering insights.
